Welcome to the Sogetsu San Francisco Bay Area Branch.
Founded in 1973, the Branch has over 40 years of presenting and sharing the contemporary floral art of
Sogetsu Ikebana with the San Francisco Bay Area community.
Thanh Nguyen holds the Komon degree in the Sogetsu school of ikebana. She is past President of Ikebana International San Francisco. and also the International Teacher's Federation.
She and her family relocated to the Central Coast in 2020 where they purchased a vineyard property, giving her access to a wealth of unusual ikebana materials.. Thanh taught Zoom ikebana classes during the pandemic, Thanh also currently teaches Sogetsu ikebana at Cuesta College in the Paso Robles campus, bringing Ikebana to the Central Coast communities.
