Welcome to the Sogetsu San Francisco Bay Area Branch.
Founded in 1973, the Branch has over 40 years of presenting and sharing the contemporary floral art  of
Sogetsu Ikebana with the San Francisco Bay Area community.

Three well known Bay Area Sogetsu artists, Joan Yusui Suzuki, Jane Suiei Naito and Eko Tjoek collaborated to create a Renka Demonstration for the San Francisco Ikebana International event.

Renka
has a shared element, such as sharing same vase, using the same flower or using the same color. The central concept is that the Arranger is inspired by the previous Arranger. The video of the Demonstration is a great opportunity to see the process.

Jennie Cho Li grew up in Taiwan. She says "I was a creative writer, and worked in advertising and internet industries. Now, I am a painter and learner, enjoy all kind of creative activities. Ikebana helps me to expand my horizons to 3D forms and discover an intimate connection with nature."
