
Welcome to the Sogetsu San Francisco Bay Area Branch.
Founded in 1973, the Branch has over 40 years of presenting and sharing the contemporary floral art of
Sogetsu Ikebana with the San Francisco Bay Area community.
The theme of our October Workshop was Morimono,
the art of arranging using fruits and vegetables. Each Demonstrator showed their personal interpretation of Morimono with three distinct styles. Then the participants let their own creativity flow. Jennie Cho Li grew up in Taiwan. She says "I was a creative writer, and worked in advertising and internet industries. Now, I am a painter and learner, enjoy all kind of creative activities. Ikebana helps me to expand my horizons to 3D forms and discover an intimate connection with nature."
