Thanh Hosui Nguyen is a well known teacher and
demonstrator of ikebana. She demonstrated at ArtScapes 2023 and
created unusual and unique large scale arrangements, many of
which utilized dry materials gathered from her Central Coast ranch

A "Taisaku" is a large scale, focal arrangement. It can be created for an
exhibition, event or installation in public or private spaces. Master
Instructor Misei Ishikawa designed this stunning Bamboo Taisaku
arrangement for our 50th Anniversary celebration and workshop, held
September 2023. This special video chronicles all the stages of our
journey, beginning with the selection and cutting of the bamboo,
the meticulous planning and sketching of the design by Ishikawa
Sensei, leading up to the final assembly of our structure at the site.

Sahshah Kosen Middleton was a Guest Presenter online at the Ikebana International Ecuador meeting. She created 2 gorgeous arrangement for their event. Ikebana International message is "Friends in Flowers" and shared the artistry of Sogetsu with her friends in Ecuador.

Joan Yusui Suzuki was one of three featured demonstrators at the February 2023 San Francisco Ikebana International meeting in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. Suzuki Sensei is Director Emeritus of the San Francisco Sogetsu Branch and founding Branch member
